Lawson originally committed to UMass Lowell (D1) before switching to Amherst (D3). He appeared in 4 games for Amherst during the pandemic-shortened 2020 season. He has not appeared on subsequent rosters (Amherst did not compete in 2021 due to the pandemic). He took a leave from school to run his start-up company ConsoliDoc (link).
