After making the NCAA Lacrosse Final Four in 2019, Penn State, under the direction of head coach Jeff Tambroni, was a rising power a season away from the championship promised land, or so the experts opined. A quick 5-2 start for the Nittany Lions in the spring of 2020 and then the bottom dropped out as a pandemic rendered any momentum quiet.
