After making the NCAA Lacrosse Final Four in 2019, Penn State, under the direction of head coach Jeff Tambroni, was a rising power a season away from the championship promised land, or so the experts opined. A quick 5-2 start for the Nittany Lions in the spring of 2020 and then the bottom dropped out as a pandemic rendered any momentum quiet. But the highly successful Tambroni, who spent a decade as Cornell's top lax boss, talked with the Michigan Lacrosse Review this week about the present, what's over the horizon for his program and you might be interested to know he's not familiar with the origin entitled Happy Valley.
